In 1997 Gene & his Guatemalan wife Elizabeth while traveling as a backpackers discovered this piece of land, which he converted from nothing into a huge tropical garden. Gene traveled around the world for many years and during that time found and perfected many delicious recipes from his favorite countries. Which he, Elizabeth and their team now serve at Jinava Bay.
