Jinava Bay Hotel is located on a small bay in the municipality of San Marcos la Laguna in the department of Sololá.  You can enter the hotel from the highway, beginning with the parking lot and going down a small hill to arrive at a lovely hotel with bar service, surrounded by many species of exotic palm trees, on the shores of the lake, a canoe available free of charge for hotel guests to enjoy the peacefulness of the bay and see the interesting architecture.  You can also enjoy a refreshing waterfall inside the hotel, perhaps next to your room, where you can take unforgettable photos.  We are very accessible to all of Guatemala at only 2.5 hours from Guatemala City.  You can get here by land or by boat.  By land, take the Panamerican Highway to kilometer 148; under the pedestrian bridge there is a sign indicating Kilometer 148; take the highway to Santa Clara and San Pablo la Laguna.  Three kilometers later you will be in San Marcos la Laguna.  By boat, you can leave from Panajachel and travel across the lake to arrive directly to Jinava Bay.  We are 1.5 hours from Quetzaltenango on the well-paved  Interamerican Highway.  At kilometer 148, take the highway to San Marcos la Laguna; or come by boat, leaving from Panajachel and arriving directly to Jinava Bay, where we can greet you with an ice-cold Gallo beer.

We invite you to enjoy our restaurant on the shores of Lake Atitlán, with an unforgettable view, where you can watch the traditional fishermen in engaged their patient art, pelicans, and herons.  You can enjoy authentic international food and drinks, such as curries from Thailand and India, Mexican dishes, Italian cuisine, and more.  Of course, on the weekends there are always traditional Guatemalan dishes.  It’s important to note that our food is prepared with high quality ingredients following strict hygiene practices.  After years of meticulous operation, it is a compliment to our cuisine and selection of cocktails that there are many imitations, but they don’t offer the quality ingredients nor the unique flavor of Jinava.
